Life Drawing May 13/09

Back to life drawing again at Sandy Hill. Good to get back to it these past couple of weeks after 8 months of the very slow, methodical approach at school (and back to it again this September). At this point I'm trying to focus on making my stuff more dynamic, so I've been reading Force and trying to apply a lot of the concepts and techniques to my summer work. So far, it looks promising. Still not great, but a lot better than I had been doing.

Edumacation

Hmm. Remember how I got on the Dean's Honours List for first term because I'd gotten a GPA of over 3.6? And how this term while I'd improved, I figured I wouldn't do so well marks-wise due to missing or not completing a few assignments?

I got a 3.64 for second term.

Guess I'm graduating from Pre-Animation with honours, then.

Open House Coming Very Soon!

I hadn't realized that I didn't post anything here about the Open House next week. Very sloppy of me, to be sure.

Next Wednesday, from 3-7pm at the Woodroffe Campus of Algonquin College in Ottawa, will be an Open House held by the General Arts and Sciences programs that focus on art. That's Pre-Animation (which I'm in), Pre-Design, Pre-Fine Arts, Music and Multimedia. All of us will be showing our portfolios and whatever other material (such as video or music) is appropriate. There'll be food on site, admission is free to the public and there'll be free parking after 5pm. If you're in Ottawa on April 15, 2009, don't miss it.
